Writing - My Best Friend

Writing has been my best friend. I have been neglecting my friend though. Over the last couple of years or so I have let my writing fall to the wayside to make room for more social media style writing for the organizations I am involved in.

I blogged about weight loss support early on when I stepped out into the blogging world. I transitioned from weight loss to blogging about digital art and the processes I learned a long the way. After that I blogged about internet how-to’s. I’ve always been able to pivot with my writing.

Writing/Blogging helped me keep my mind focused on other things besides the challenges I seemed to face in my life.

I’ve used it to relieve stress. There is something satisfying about aggressively typing on the laptop when you’re angry or stressed about something. It really helps clear the cobwebs in the mind.

Writing helps deal with depression too. It helps sort things out in my head so I can better deal with a situation. It’s like a Swiss Army Knife. It has saved my sanity in so many ways.
